A recent study from the California staffing firm OfficeTeam, took a look at how American workers eat lunch. The survey was conducted by interviewing over 400 workers in the US. The goal was to understand the eating habits of US workers.
Here are some interesting facts from the study. Almost 10 percent of the people interviewed only took 10 minutes for lunch. Almost 30 percent of the people still stayed online during lunch, doing social media and eating while at their desks.
The percentage of people who just eat at lunch was only 1 percent.
The times have certainly changed when it comes to lunch. The study didn’t look at links to productivity or the quality of what you eat, or the experience of how you take your lunch, whether you eat on the go or take a brown bag, or go to the Brown Derby.
